The Siemens Vectron success story continues. With over 1000 units sold, the Vectron is definitely one of the most successful rail vehicles ever built. It can now be found all over Europe and the rotations of the European locomotive are getting longer and longer. The Slovak and Swiss Vectron meet in the heart of the Ruhr area. ÖBB is expanding its route network to Holland and SBB Cargo International designed the Hollandpiercer especially for traffic to Holland. New versions are added almost every day and the Vectron now feels at home in Serbia and Bulgaria too. The Vectron has even ended up in Scandinavia and is in use at DSB and Hectorrail.
