The 18 BLS Re 465 locomotives will be modernized and given a new coat of paint by 2022. Appropriate multiple control systems are installed to enable use with Vectron and Traxx locomotives in freight transport. An Ethernet train backbone will also be implemented for the traction of the car tunnel and future Goldenpass trains. The given baptismal names are no longer used. The work is carried out in our own factory in Bönigen.
