Like their DB models, the PIKO models of the power car and the control car embody functionally reliable constructions. The railcar model is powered by a micromotor, which is equipped with two precisely dimensioned flywheel masses for perfect running characteristics. The drive acts on both axles of the railcar. Since drive and control cars can be coupled to one another via a current-conducting, short-coupling kinematics, two additional (and thus four) axles can be used for safe current collection in applications with control cars. The railcar has a digital interface PluX16 to NEM 658. The lighting functions of both vehicles are separately switchable. A clear view is possible in drive and control car through the passenger compartments.
