RENFE, 3 pcs. "Al-Andalus" passenger carriage set, consisting of 2 x WR dining cars and 1 x DD-8100 baggage car, epoch IV-V
The Al-Andalus Express is one of the most luxurious trains in the world. It was put into service by RENFE in 1985 and is one of the highest category trains in Spain. Its usual route is in the Andalusian Autonomous Community. Due to its character as a charter train, however, it has traveled practically the entire route network, including the routes to Extremadura, Galicia and Madrid, as well as private operations.
Although its composition has changed over the years, the exterior aesthetics of all the carriages that make up this train have been maintained. The characteristic design in cream/brown with golden ornaments - unmistakable.
That testifies to its opulence. Hence the use of Pullman carriages, similar to those used on the famous Orient Express, as well as other RENFE park carriages, adapted and styled to reflect the condition of the train.
