From 1964, the SBB also undertook a fundamental renewal of the rolling stock with regard to international traffic. The ÖBB also had these wagons built by Jenbachwerke under a license agreement in 1976 and used them on the Austrian rail network. The SBB experimented with different green variants, which are also reproduced in the model. Sleeping and couchette cars and restaurant cars were also put into service to match the passenger cars and used on the cross-border routes to Austria, Italy and Germany.
