The first elevated railway was built in 1867 in New York. In the middle of the 1890s, experiments were also carried out for the first time with electrically operated elevated railways. In Germany the suspension railway in Elberfeld and Barmen (Wuppertal) is the first elevated railway. From 1902 followed the first standard gauge Hochbahn in Berlin, from 1912 followed by Hamburg. The decision to build a rather complicated high-way from the point of view of construction depends on lack of space and cost savings compared to a subway. Our model of a elevated railway is modular. Thus, the different elements are to be coupled together and the elevated track can be designed exactly to your taste and needs. The basic set consists of a segment which contains four arcades on both sides. The width is 85 mm and is therefore suitable for two tracks. The arches are walled up, but can also be optionally equipped with the shops from our program. Bows and shops have standard dimensions and are interchangeable as elements without problem.
