finished model impregnation vessel
The well-known, unpainted kit now available to you as a finished product.
An impregnation vessel is used to impregnate wood with tar oil under high pressure, for example. In the old method (Rüpping method), the wood is enclosed in a vessel which is then filled with compressed air. The wood is then soaked with heated tar oil under increased pressure. After the pressure is released, the air pressed into the wood expands and expels the tar oil not absorbed by the wood cells, which is completed by a vacuum. This ensures that the cells of the wood are completely soaked with tar oil. In the modern method, a strong vacuum is first created in the vessel. Then, while maintaining the vacuum, the vessel is flooded with a protective solution. This is pressed deep into the wood under high pressure. After the vessel is relaxed and the solution is drained, the wood is removed from the vessel.
