The Bavarian-style train station with its extension and canopy is located four kilometers outside the town of Wasserburg. In 1902, the town, situated in a bend of the Inn River, was connected to the long-distance station by a local railway. The Wasserburg/Stadt station building still stands today; the railway grounds are now used as a bus station and parking lot.
