Electric locomotive Ae 3 / 6I 10700 SBB-HISTORIC, epoch IV Prototype The now famous E-locomotive Ae 3 / 6I, a light fast passenger and passenger locomotive of the SBB, became the beginning of electrification in the 1920s Years and was until the mid-1990s in use. Now known as the classic car, the Ae 3 / 6I is not only considered the most durable locomotive series of the SBB, but with a total of 114 built copies also as the largest of the electric express train locomotives. Designed for passenger service in the lowlands, the Ae 3 / 6I was mainly used on the east-west axis and known by their services on the Geneva-Zurich relation. Model The structurally-related, filigree structure of the main components of a vintage electric locomotive naturally places high demands on its model replica in size N. PIKO supplies a model of the Ae 3 / 6I that meets all requirements the precise redesign of the locomotive with its Buchli drives and the filigree roof equipment. Pantographs and roof conductors are made of metal. Behind the Buchli drives as well as on the non-driving side of the axles, fine spoke wheel sets contribute to an authentic overall impression. Lamps, ladders and handlebars were individually attached .
